ABOUT
Lee Dawn is a freelance illustrator and designer currently creating in the Sacramento area. Her illustrations are created primarily for fantasy book covers, tabletop gaming, and middle grade children’s books, but she has a passion for any project with elements of the magical and unusual.
She creates her detailed and luminous illustrations in watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils. Her inspiration draws from folklore, ancient history, and the natural world. Her favorite artists/illustrators include Ivan Bilibin, Jeanne Rorex-Bridges, and J.C. Leyendecker.
When not creating illustrations for herself or for clients, Lee can also be found peddling her wares at various conventions, drinking espresso by the pot, or hiking in dubiously hike-able locations.
