I'm Lee Dawn! I am a freelance illustrator and designer residing in Northern California with my partner and a cheeky rabbit.
I was raised on a steady diet of folklore and history which I never quite shook. My work is influenced by the arts & crafts movement, folk art, early commercial illustration, and various medieval art movements. I work in watercolor, gouache, and pen & ink on paper. I work primarily in  fantasy tabletop gaming and middle grade children's books.
I attended Sierra College in Rocklin, CA and earned an AA in Illustration, an AA in Graphic Design, and an AA in Studio Arts with Deans List honors. I will be pursuing a BA in Illustration at Art Center College of Design.
In my spare time, I work on personal projects such as The Pocket Field Guide to Root People, The Illuminated Tarot, and Wyrmwood. I can be found peddling my handmade prints, books, and framed works at various conventions.
